Hi, I'm Michelle!
Welcome to Odd Family Homeschool!
My name is Michelle and I'm a stay at home mom and full time blogger with a passion for good home cooking, life as a modern homemaker and all things homeschool!
Back in 2014, I started my first successful blog Dishes & Dust Bunnies as a way to connect with others and to share the recipes, tips and hints that helped to make my life as a busy mom just little easier.
Odd Family Homeschool began in 2019 as an extension and sister site to Dishes & Dust Bunnies as my family transitioned into homeschool life. I share our journey and adventures from that part of our life here! 🙂
School is the advertising agency which makes you believe that you need the society as it is.

Who am I?
I'm a proud east coast Canadian, originally from the rural countryside of New Brunswick, where I grew up on my grandparents traditional farm. Once I started university and met my future husband, I married then packed up for a new life in the big ol' city of Toronto. Motherhood arrived a few years later and It became my mission to give my son a childhood like the one my grandparents gave me. ❤️
As a bit of a black sheep with an appreciation for the dramatic, I'm still very much a country girl at heart – and that shows through the passion I have for cooking as well as the domestic arts. ❤️ My hope is that the life I live today, though very different from my grandmother's, will help keep these family traditions alive.
I'm known for my sarcastic sense of humor, great big smile and positive outlook on life when things get tough. You can usually find me cranking up the volume of my favorite tunes while experimenting in the kitchen or re-organizing my sons toys (for the millionth time!).
I truly LOVE and appreciate all music – seriously though – play me some new wave, metal, post-punk and goth tunes right along with some classic country (like Wilf Carter!) or even polka and I'll be happy as a clam! lol ❤️ Making people laugh or smile when they least expect it makes me soooo happy – I love art and theater and can sometimes be a little dramatic myself.
Expressing myself and helping others through my writing is something I'm very passionate about. It's an absolute pleasure to share my recipes, thoughts and adventures with you and I'm honored and truly thankful to each and every one of the readers who visit Odd Family Homeschool! <3
